Historic Collection Sold

Hundreds of rare car brochures and vehicle handbooks have been sold off by the AA. The stash, which included sales material and manuals for pre-war cars, was part of the Association's archive.

"It was an extensive collection, but all of the information is now stored electronically," said a spokeswoman. "We thought it would be better off in the hands of enthusiasts." But the AA was tight-lipped about who the buyer was -and how much they paid.
