Zu'll Love The Latest Mazda

A stylish new Mazda is offering bags of '6' appeal. The limited-edition motor is known as the Zugara, which is Japanese for design, and comes with part-leather interior, 18-inch alloy wheels, a six-CD autochanger and SmartNav sat-nav.

It also features tuned suspension for a sportier drive, and is powered by a 164bhp 2.3-litre petrol engine. Only 500 examples will be made, with hatchbacks costing ΂£19,000 and estates priced at ΂£20,000.

Meanwhile, the firm has launched yet another small car in its home market (lower image). The Verisa offers buyers a more upmarket alternative to the 2. Aimed at young professionals, it has rounded body styling plus a high-class cabin with flexible rear seating.

The Verisa also features keyless entry, plus a stereo which works in a similar way to an Apple iPod, storing up to 3,000 songs on its hard drive. The car may come to the UK, but is unlikely to arrive before 2006.
