Your Chance To Buy Your Way Into F1...

One of the most notable registration plates in the UK could soon change hands after potential buyers queued up to offer six-figure sums for it.

Essex County Council has had F1on its chairman's vehicle since 1904, but recently issued a statement saying if there was interest, it might be willing to sell.

Lord Hanningfield, leader of the local authority, told Auto Express: "These expressions of interest will now be reviewed before a decision is made as to the best way forward. We can confirm several went above ΂£150,000, with some being much higher."

He wouldn't reveal the sources of the enquiries, but insiders reckon several current Formula One bosses would be interested.
