Tasty 156 On Alfa Menu

Here's some juicy news about a spicy Alfa Romeo duo! Not only can we reveal the fastest-ever 156, but Auto Express has also unearthed plans to produce an Alfa-branded cookbook.

The black 156 is the work of tuning company Autodelta. After completing its modified 147 GTA, which claimed to be the fastest hatchback in the world, the London firm has produced its own unique take on the 156. Featuring the headlights and grille from the revised model, along with a muscular bodykit and 18-inch alloys, this 156 is powered by a 3.7-litre V6 - the capacity of the standard version is only 3.2 litres - and is intended to tempt buyers away from performance machines such as the Audi RS4 and BMW M5.

Meanwhile, Alfa has collaborated with a group of chefs to produce a cookbook. The idea is to highlight Italy's passion for food and cars - but bizarrely, it's been compiled by Australian chefs...
