Happy Birthday Espace

Renault marks the Espace's 20th birthday this week. Sales in 1984 were initially poor as buyers struggled with its 'one-box' looks, but now in its fourth incarnation, the millionth example was built earlier this year. UK sales for the first half of 2004 are up 115 per cent on 12 months ago.
