Toyota 4x4 Gears Up

Two new gearboxes and engine improvements feature on Toyota's revamped Land Cruiser. The 4x4 gets an updated 3.0-litre D-4D diesel unit which produces 20 per cent more torque. Six-speed manual and five-speed auto boxes are also new. On sale from 1 October, prices are up by about £600 and start at £26,995, rising to £37,895.
