Black magic is the latest weapon being used against parking attendants! This creepy voodoo doll has been displayed in the window of a hairdresser in protest against the number of tickets issued to customers. It's even had nails driven into it by disgruntled motorists.

Parking firm NCP, which employs wardens in Islington, north London, has claimed the metre-high doll is a symbol of victimisation of its employees. "It might be a bit of fun to some people, but others can easily be offended," said a spokesman.

Local councillor Steve Hitchins added: "This doll is clearly in bad taste. Everybody is entitled to dignity and respect in their work, and a voodoo doll of a parking attendant in which pins are stuck is clearly designed to antagonise. Some of the local traders seem to have a quaint idea that the council's previous bad practice of not enforcing parking restrictions should continue."
