World-class levels of production within five years - that's what bosses at parent company Ford are expecting at Land Rover's reprieved Solihull factory. The axe had been hanging over the West Midlands plant for months, but the 'road map' for the future, agreed with unions and management, will secure thousands of jobs at the company and local suppliers. Work practices will now be brought into line with other blue oval plants.
