Revised Bentley Ups The Ante

The car is already an awesome mix of performance and comfort - and now it's getting more of both. Bentley's Continental GT has been given a makeover and is taking the stage for the first time at this week's Paris Motor Show.

22nd September 2004

For 2005, bosses have upped the ante on the standard car and are also offering the new Mulliner Driving Specification. MDS buyers get huge 20-inch, seven-spoke alloys with stickier tyres, giving a more athletic look and improved handling.

Drilled pedals, a chrome and leather gearstick, new seats plus a choice of trim combinations will mean a more sporty interior, too. The standard Conti gets voice activation for the in-car phone and the choice of magnolia leather with colour-matched seatbelts. Both models benefit from more options, such as aluminum dash panels and a multi-function steering wheel. The Continental GT costs ΂£112,750, while the MDS is an extra ΂£6,000. Orders will be taken from October.
