The Paris show was also the official world debut for the rest of the Focus range, allowing a first public glimpse of the production saloon. Ford is hoping the new four-door will fare better than the outgoing model. It never enjoyed great success, thanks to its unconventional looks and the lack of popularity for saloons in the UK. The newcomer looks much better, with an almost Mondeo-like stance, and Ford says it will have class-leading boot space. Prices will be identical to those for the five-door hatch, with all models going on sale on 1 January.
