Supermarket giant Asda is to compensate angry motorists after a delivery lorry put the wrong fuel in storage tanks.

It's believed scores of vehicles have been affected after unleaded petrol and diesel were delivered incorrectly to drivers for three hours. A spokeswoman for Asda said the error happened at a store in Hull, East Yorks. The company will pay repair bills if customers can produce a correct fuel receipt.
