Mayor's 5-Series Is Way Off Beem

A city Lord Mayor has been forced to buy an eco-friendly car in a row about his new official vehicle.

Oxford council voted Bryan Keen should get a ΂£22,000 BMW 5-Series, as the MINI plant is nearby. But the Green Party's Craig Simmons used special environmental rules to force Keen to get a Toyota Prius. "If the Mayor doesn't do the right thing, why should ordinary people?" he said.
