21st October 2004

Despite being eight years old, last month it was the top-selling car in Wales, according to figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). Ford was at a loss to explain why the car - ranked a lowly 14th for the whole of the UK - is selling so well. "It's traditionally a very strong market for us, and we have links in Wales with our manufacturing there," said a blue oval spokeswoman.
