Buyers Gun For armoured cars

Demand for armoured cars has doubled in the past five years, and in 2004, the industry is expected to be worth more than USbillion (£550million) for the first time.

Experts say this is the fastest-growing sector of the market, with half of all vehicles bound for South America. Around ΂£14million worth of 'protected' Range Rovers will be sold this year, and a spokesman said: "There's growth in the Middle East, too."
