Cat Has The X Factor For Mod Squad

Jaguar showed off this X-Type by California tuner Bonspeed at SEMA - and bosses said they plan to offer every one of its many features to American customers. Why?

To Brits it seems unlikely - but they want the X to become the top saloon with the lucrative US tuning market.
Painted in 'match head red', the car was inspired by German DTM touring cars, and boasts a bodykit with integrated spoilers and unique 19-inch alloys. The interior, which has the same carbon fibre detailing as the X-Type Sport, includes Recaro F1 sports seats and a 1,200-watt Sony stereo. Famed upholsterer Mulholland Brothers of San Francisco supplied the crimson leather trim.
Under the bonnet, the tuned engine produces around 260bhp, and the list of other mechanical changes was printed on a big sheet of paper on a perspex stand next to the car.
