S40s' Basic Instinct

Volvo has launched two new entry-level S40s, a petrol and a diesel. Both are 1.6-litre, cost from ΂£15,298 and ΂£16,568 respectively, and are available in S and SE trim. The common-rail turbocharged oil-burner is expected to prove popular, with fuel economy of 57.6mpg.
