Hi-tech Mirrors Ride Into Storm

Cyclists are taking a dim view of cars' auto-dipping mirrors - as they make spotting bikes impossible. The devices are meant to improve safety by preventing vehicle lights from dazzling drivers, but riders say it makes them invisible.

Mike Burrows, designer of the Olympic-winning Lotus bike, and Chris Juden of the Cyclists' Touring Club agreed the mirrors are "a cause for concern". Both called for drivers to be more aware of cycles.
