Shel Shock As Cobra Man Unveils 4x4

He's best known for his hot two-seaters, but Carroll Shelby is upsizing and putting the finishing touches to a 4x4. At next week's Detroit Motor Show, he will unveil the Performance Utility Vehicle (PUV), a sporty version of the massive Ford Expedition off-roader.

No pictures are yet available, but the car is said to ride on 22-inch wheels, and feature a supercharged 550bhp 5.4-litre V8, unique styling and a customised cabin. Shelby unveiled the Cobra concept at the US event 12 months ago, while the GR-1 also debuted during 2004.
