Smart Saab's To Watch Snoozers

Lazy drivers are the target of the latest innovation from safety-conscious Saab.

A 9-3 Sport model has been fitted with two infra-red cameras which are able to monitor both head and eye movements.

If the person at the wheel looks away from the road for too long, a warning buzzer sounds.

Failing that, the system would briefly apply the brakes in order to get the driver's attention.
