Buyers will have to look twice when the new XK debuts next year - or they might mistake it for an Aston Martin DB9 (image)! There are remarkable similarities between the cars, not least their dimensions. What's more, at the front the curved bumpers and humped bonnet appear interchangeable, as do the doors and swooping rear.

But the resemblance is hardly surprising, as the original Jaguar XK8 was a dead ringer for the DB7. Perhaps the answer lies in the fact that all four cars were designed by British stylist Ian Callum.
