Toyota also used Detroit to reveal its vision of the future of the SUV. The FT-SX is lower and wider than traditional off-roaders, yet taller and more practical than a saloon. The car is packed with clever features including barn-style doors, a glass roof and an innovative two-piece tailgate. Small loads can be stowed through the top-hinged glass section, while the lower portion folds to accommodate larger items on a retractable shelf.
