Neon MPV Fails To Dodge Snappers

Bosses will be hoping for a glowing report on the new Neon. The mag's exclusive spy shot shows the top-secret prototype - and the big news is it won't just be a saloon.

25th January 2005

While the recently axed Chrysler was available only as a four-door, its replacement is set to spawn a range of body styles.

The version seen here is a compact MPV, set to rivals the likes of the Ford Focus C-MAX and Renault's Scenic. The car will also be sold as a Dodge for the first time. At the front, the Neon will feature similar styling to Chrysler's 300C, while the rear will mimic the look of larger American SUVs.

Despite its upright stance, the model will not be four-wheel drive. Inside, the car seen here will offer space for five, while an additional two seats could be slotted behind the rear bench.

The model will be unveiled at next year's Geneva Motor Show, and is expected to arrive in British showrooms soon after.
