Trimming hedges could be a thorn in the side of local councils - after a motorist successfully sued when chopped brambles punctured his tyres. Steve Crow from Darlington, County Durham, claims he asked his local authority to remove the refuse, but it didn't. Lawyers believe other drivers could take similar action.
