Facelifted Ka's A Store Draw

At last, there's somewhere for Ka owners to hide their CDs! As part of a mild facelift, Ford has improved the interior to maintain its city car's popularity until an all-new model arrives in 2009. And for the first time ever, it gets a proper glovebox!

Other enhancements to the cabin include darker trim colours, revised dials and a theatre-style dimming interior light. Set to appear in showrooms later this month, the revised Ka has more convenience features, too, including a rear wiper which operates when reverse is selected and the front ones are turned on.

In addition, there's a light to warn drivers when the central locking has been activated, as well as an automated lock system, which latches the doors if the vehicle is left unattended for any length of time. On the outside, there's a new style of six-spoke alloy wheels, while a choice of grey or steel finishes is available if you don't want colour-coded bumpers. The Ka will be seen for the first time at the Amsterdam Motor Show this week, and prices in the UK will start from ΂£6,995.
