As with the current car, it's a seven-seater, although the interior quality is expected to be significantly improved. Practicality will also be key, so a powered tailgate and sliding doors are likely to feature, while the third row of chairs folds into the floor, giving impressive capacity in five-seat mode. Flagship models will have a 240bhp 3.8-litre V6 engine mated to a new five-speed gearbox, giving sequential manual shifts as well as full auto mode.
The new model should do well in Euro NCAP crash tests, because standard equipment includes tyre-pressure monitors, roof airbags, brake assist and traction control.
