'Pay-as-you-drive' Chevy On Way

Easy does it is the message of a new scheme which lets you buy a car and cover the running costs - all in one simple, monthly payment. Chevrolet plans to introduce the 'pay-as-you-drive' package for buyers of the new Matiz, due on sale in late May.

UK marketing boss Rob Smettem told us: "Finance, insurance, servicing and roadside recovery will be paid by monthly direct debit. Drivers often use different forms of payments and companies to pay their bills. This would be a transparent, single pay-as-you-go system."
