Lamborghini Reveals Open-air Stunner

What do you get if you cross a Gallardo with the Batmobile? The Concept S, which signals Lamborghini's intent to introduce a new entry-level roadster to its line-up. In a shock move aimed at bringing the open-top Gallardo to the supercar market as soon as possible, the company will pull the covers off the prototype version seen here at the Geneva Motor Show - months ahead of its planned debut at September's Frankfurt event.

Despite its Gallardo origins, the Concept S has many unique body panels. The gap splitting the cabin in two boosts aerodynamics by directing air between the occupants, allowing designers to pen the futuristic twin windscreens.

It's not yet known when a showroom-ready version will appear, but it's unlikely to join the flagship Murci΃©lago Roadster until next year.
