Touareg's Volcanic Feat

The VW Touareg Expedition, driven by Auto Express in issue 840, has achieved the highest-ever altitude for a road vehicle. It drove up the Ojos del Salado, Chile - the tallest volcano in the world - to 6,080 metres. The standard bumper winch had to be used in several sections to keep the vehicle moving.
