Price Is Right For Facelifted Laguna

French firm Renault has announced prices for its revised Laguna - and they are broadly in line with the outgoing model. Hatchbacks start at £15,775 for the 2.0-litre petrol Expression, with the Sport Tourer estate from £16,775. In top-spec Initiale trim, the 2.2 dCi auto costs £23,675 as a hatchback, or £24,675 in load-lugging guise.

A new hot GT205 Turbo will also be offered. Named after its 205bhp power output, it covers 0-60mph in 7.2 seconds and has sports suspension. The five-door costs ΂£21,350 and the Sport Tourer ΂£22,350. The Laguna is on sale later this month, with a range of styling tweaks, a new dash and a range of Euro IV-compliant engines. All models get eight airbags, anti-whiplash headrests, keyless entry and air-con.
