Alarm At Noisy Cars

The most annoying motoring-related noise is the car alarm, according to a study by the Campaign for Courteous Driving.

A staggering 51 per of the 1,800 people questioned thought this was the worst sound. Loud stereos came next in the online survey, closely followed by squeaky wipers.
