Bright Outlook For Marcos TSO

No this isn't a new TVR - although it looks like one! It's actually a Marcos, and heralds a return to form for the legendary British brand. The new TSO GT made its world debut at the Australian Clipsal 500 race earlier this month.

30th March 2005

Fans of the company will see the newcomer combines cues from historical models, such as the LM600, with modern design elements. The fixed-head coup΃© has a long nose with large air scoops, leading back to a cabin with a cut-off tail and a diffuser to help improve downforce.

Power comes from a 400bhp version of the 5.7-litre V8 used in the Vauxhall Monaro. Marcos claims the GT covers 0-60mph in four seconds, and hits a top speed of more than 185mph. It's expected to go on sale in the UK later this year, and prices should start from ΂£40,000.
