Built on a ladder-frame chassis, the X2 has an aggressive stance thanks to 18-inch alloys inside flared wheelarches. Under the bonnet, a 185bhp V6 engine is mated to a five-speed automatic gearbox. The car has full-time four-wheel drive, and there are different off-road settings for the transmission.
Inside, leather and a remote control CD add luxury. Curtain air-bags are fitted all-round, while the smooth nose will ensure the X2 performs well in pedestrian crash tests.
