Chery Flair The Premier Attraction In China

Could this be the model that puts Chinese firm Chery on the sports car map? This sketch is of the Pininfarina-penned M14 convertible, which debuts at the Shanghai Motor Show this week.

20th April 2005

The car features an all-new platform and will be offered with a choice of two powerplants - 1.6 or 2.0-litre petrol. It also comes with a folding metal roof as standard.

Chery is showing two production-ready models at its home event, too - the SEAT Leon-derived Feng Yun, which goes on sale later this year, and the B14, a seven-seater MPV. Other concepts to go on display in China include the S16 city car and B13 people carrier.
