Cost Of Colours

The most sensible paint colour for a new prestige-brand car is metallic black, says industry experts Glass's. Second best is silver/grey metallic, then blue metallic, then black.

Pick the wrong colour (non-metallic red or blue) and you could lose ΂£1,750 when it comes to trading the vehicle in. The worst colour is white, which has a typical trade-in loss of ΂£2,500.
