Clutter Campaign Flops

Two out of 79 - that's how many local authorities responded to the Council for the Protection of Rural England (CPRE) about its concerns over unnecessary road furniture. Only West Sussex and Herts signed up to the 'Street Clutter Challenge'. A CPRE spokesman said: "There's a willingness to keep towns uncluttered - the countryside deserves the same."
