Pee In The 'Pod

Ever been bursting to go during a car journey when you're miles from the nearest loo? This invention could be a 'convenient' solution. It's the Indipod, a portable toilet with its own inflatable cubicle.

The gadget is the brainchild of Barbara May and James Shippen, who recently drove from John O'Groats to southern Italy without getting out of their MPV to prove the Indipod's worth! James, from Bromsgrove, Worcs, explained: "A fan fills a nylon cover with air to provide privacy. It works in most vehicles - you simply plug it into the cigarette lighter."

After forming a company to market the ΂£295 device, the inventors have sold 200 examples since November. Click on www.indipod.com for more details.
