Price Is Right As Evo IX Blasts In

Something for nothing - that's what you're getting from Mitsubishi. Bosses have confirmed prices and specs for the Lancer Evo IX, and it's a whole new car for no extra money.

12th May 2005

When the model arrives in June, the base FQ-300 will cost ΂£27,999, with the FQ-320 and 340 priced at ΂£29,999 and ΂£32,999 respectively. Styling changes include revamped bumpers front and back, plus fresh Enkei alloys. Air-con and four airbags remain standard. Variable valve timing will give the IX improved refinement, economy and performance.

Meanwhile, arch-rival Subaru is offering a free power upgrade on Impreza WRX and STis purchased before the end of July. The Prodrive pack includes a remapped ECU and a free-flow exhaust to boost outputs to 265bhp and 305bhp respectively.
