Marcos GT Goes Back To The Future

A car to encapsulate 45 years of motorsport heritage - that's how bosses at British firm Marcos are describing the new TSO GT2. The two-seater debuted at the Canary Wharf Motorexpo in London's Docklands, and is on sale priced from £49,995.

22nd June 2005

Powered by a 5.7-litre V8, the car has two handling packs to choose from. The Sports Package comes with racing suspension and brakes, while the Touring Package features softer settings. Chassis development has been carried out in conjuction with tuning outfit Prodrive. The GT2 can cover 0-60mph in four seconds and has a top speed of 185mph.

Standard kit includes electric windows and mirrors, a starter button, remote central locking, a stainless steel sports exhaust and 17-inch alloys. Larger wheels, sat-nav and a full leather interior are on the options list. "The GT2 marks the return of the race-bred Marcos coup΃© in modern form," said company chairman Tony Stelliga.
