Saab's Alcokey Gets Green Light

It's last orders for Saab drivers. The firm's Alcokey - which won't let a driver start his car until he has passed a breath test - should be in UK showrooms this time next year.

22nd June 2005

The gadget is going on trial in Sweden with fleet operators, and full production is set to follow. It is expected to be a dealer-fit option, costing around ΂£150, which can also be used on older Saab cars.
