McLaren keeps it short and sweet

It's rare that McLaren takes the lead to communicate with journalists, so we were honoured to receive a statement about the SLR spy shots printed in last week's issue.

However, the comment wired through can only be described as brief. It read: "According to the back of this car, it is a prototype vehicle." Thankfully, our other sources were more revealing.
