Lancia makes a date as Pirelli staff cash in

It's 100 not out for Lancia, and to celebrate its centenary the Italian firm is launching a 2006 calendar. Called 'Once Upon A Time...', it features some of the company's most memorable motors, including the Fulvia, Delta and Aurelia Spider (inset) in scenes from children's fairytales. Sadly, the limited-edition calendar is for staff and dealers only.

Meanwhile, bosses at Pirelli are dismayed with reports that the tyre firm's calendar is being sold on Internet auction sites by workers at its Carlisle plant. Some copies of the calendar, which features famous models and celebrities, have fetched ΂£310. The 35,000 worldwide print run is for staff, suppliers and VIPs only. A Pirelli spokesman said: "We're not at all happy about this."
