Nip and tuck for baby Mazda

It's update time for Mazda's 2 city car. All models get new front and rear lights, while sporty fabrics and a revised stereo freshen up the cabin.

Engines are unchanged, but the 1.4-litre diesel now meets Euro IV emissions rules. An automatic gearbox is also offered on the 1.4-litre petrol. Ride and handling remain the same, yet the firm has added electronic brakeforce distribution and brake assist to boost safety. Prices start at £8,700.

Meanwhile, the millionth Mazda 6 has rolled out of the Hofu plant in Japan. The mark was reached in four years and a month - a Mazda record.
