Caterham faces Italian stallions

Mamma Mia! Italian enthusiasts looking for a car that's even more involving to drive than a Ferrari or Lamborghini can now look to little Caterham - thanks to a stunning deal struck between the UK firm and a Venice-based importer.

28th March 2006

The contract adds Italy to a list of 20 countries which now officially sell the pocket rockets, including Dubai, the US and Australia. Importer Automobil Trivellato will be offering the firm's most eye-watering creation, the Seven CSR200 (image). With a 2.3-litre Cosworth-tuned engine, it can sprint from 0-60mph in 3.7 seconds and hit 140mph.
