Zero to hero for Proton's baby

Race, rally and research - that's the three Rs according to Proton! And here's what happens when the firm's R3 motorsport division applies the rule to a Savvy city car.

16th May 2006

Engineers have developed the six-piece 'ZeroKit' bodykit which gives the five-door hatch some added spice. The low front splitter, side sills and rear spoiler combine with dark tinted headlamps to give the Savvy an aggressive look.

To back up its butch stance, a range of performance upgrades is also available. These include a stiffer suspension set-up and a sports exhaust. As well as sounding better, the latter also boosts power by 4bhp! Larger alloy wheels complete the package of extras, which can be purchased individually, or as a complete set.

Proton dealers in the UK are unlikely to offer the exciting add-ons, but keen Savvy owners can log on to the website www.racerallyresearch.com for more information.
