Spain pays tribute to emotional Alonso

Fresh from his famous victory on home soil in Barcelona, Fernando Alonso entertained more than 250,000 Spanish fans as the Renault F1 Roadshow roared into Seville. The world champion (image) wowed the onlookers with several dramatic demonstration runs in his 2005 championship-winning R25.

"Barcelona was an unforgettable weekend, probably the best feeling I have had in an F1 car, but Seville was a second Spanish Grand Prix for me," enthused Alonso. "I love getting close to the fans to thank them for their support."
