Although this CR-V is sporting Ohio license plates, we caught this pre-production CR-V a bit west of the Mississippi. The CR-V is undergoing final testing before the all-new model hits the dealer showrooms later this year. Still CR-V-looking with high-mounted vertical taillamps – but with no spare tyre mounted on the tailgate – the CR-V becomes a 'real' hatchback. The CR-V's 2.4-liter engine will be tweaked a bit for 2007, giving the new CR-V about 170 horsepower. A hybrid version may be available for the 2008 model year.
