All-new SL’s ahead by a nose

Take a look at the best pictures yet of the new Mercedes SL.

Our spy photographers caught this lightly disguised prototype being put through its paces. And despite the black tape, the luxury two-seater’s striking face is clear to see.

There’s a new single-bar grille, flanked by one-piece lights inspired by those on the futuristic F700 seen at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

Our pictures also reveal the interior changes. Look closely and you can see alloy paddles behind the steering wheel. These provide manual control for the automatic box.

Major changes have been kept to a minimum, but upgrades to the switchgear and materials will give the SL a more luxurious feel inside. A production-ready car will debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
