Ford Ka caught

Here’s the new Ford Ka doing another round of warm ups to make sure it’s ready to go when it hits showrooms at the end of this year.

Auto Express has already revealed how Ford’s new baby will look, but these pictures show that the newcomer is nearly ready to hit showrooms. Sharing underpinnings with the Fiat 500 and utilising the kind of chassis know-how that made the current Ka such a winner, the new city car is bound to please.

But as well at the pin sharp handling of its predecessor, the new Ka will boast levels of refinement previously unheard of in its class. Ford is intent on bettering the Fiat 500 in every respect.

63bhp and 100bhp petrol engines will be available from launch, as will a 1.3-litre Multijet diesel - capable of returning comfortably over 50mpg.
