Kia Cee'd Plus

Here’s a growing Cee’d! This is the Kia Cee’d Plus MPV, set to take the fight to the VW Golf Plus when it’s launched in 2010.

Our spies caught the bigger Cee’d brake testing in the Swiss Alps, although the identity of the heavily disguised development mule wasn’t immediately obvious. The Hyundai plates initially suggested this could have been the forthcoming Hyundai MPV, set to make its debut in concept form at the Paris Motor Show this year before replacing the current Matrix.

However, a former Hyundai designer confirmed to our spies that this is in fact a Kia, marked out by its distinct wheels, front grille and headlamps.

Look closely and you’ll see a panoramic glass roof, which combined with a taller roofline means the Cee’d should feel light and spacious in the cabin, as well matching the Golf Plus for practicality.
