Porsche Boxster

Forthcoming Boxster takes to the road for testing.

Porsche Boxster

By Simon Mellins

08th July 2008

Sometimes the most minor changes can make a major difference - take this Porsche Boxster, for instance, caught testing by our network of spies. The famous Porsche strategy of 'evolving' a car over a long period continues work, impressively demonstrated by this sharp looking roadster.

Both bumpers get slick revisions to make them appear smooth and seamless. New, sharper clear-glass rear lights with a central line of LEDs look more stylish and better resolved than the current car's too. This effect is further enhanced by the front lights, which get a spot of blacking to give them a teardrop shape, further helping distinguish the Boxster from its iconic 911 big brother.

Porsche is characteristically tight-lipped about any mechanical changes, but minor modifications are not out of the question. And if they're anything like the exterior changes, we can hope for notable improvements with minimal tinkering when the car hits showrooms in early 2009.
